China News Service, November 9th According to the Kyodo News Agency, on the 8th local time, Tokyo Electric Power Co., Ltd. announced that it will conduct tests for the first time in Unit 2 of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in March next year. The operation of pouring nuclear fuel into the reactor to test its fuel temperature rise.
Data Sheet: Panorama of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.
It is reported that after the accident of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in the past seven years, the fuel heat is gradually reduced, and TEPCO will stop water injection for about 7 hours, confirming whether the temperature rise is actually small.
Unit 2 currently injects about 3 tons per hour, and the reactor pressure vessel and containment temperature is maintained at about 30 degrees.
Tokyo believes that even if the water injection is stopped for 7 hours, the temperature will only rise by 1 to 2 degrees, and no radioactive material will scatter and re-critical.
