Argentina ruling on anti-dumping investigation of Chinese sanitary porcelain

Argentina decides on anti-dumping investigation of Chinese sanitary porcelain

[Sanitary investment] The Deputy Secretary of State for Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economy and Public Finance of the Argentine Ministry of Economy and Public Finance took note of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Afghanistan. The notice was decided to end the production of China based on the Ministry of Commerce’s resolution No. 986/2015 of September 24, 2015. Anti-dumping review of porcelain tableware and other household sanitary porcelain.

The resolution decided to investigate the anti-dumping investigation of porcelain tableware and other household sanitary wares (Southern Province’s tax number: 6911010, 69110090, 69119000, 69120000) originating in China, and levied from the date of issuance. The anti-dumping duty is $3.71/kg and is valid for 5 years. On September 24 last year, the Argentine Ministry of Economy and Public Finance adopted resolution 702/2014 to initiate an anti-dumping review investigation of porcelain tableware and other household sanitary porcelain originating in China.

It is understood that Argentina’s anti-dumping investigation on Chinese ceramic tableware and other household or sanitary porcelain is a continuation of the anti-dumping resolution in 2009. On September 18, 2009, Argentina made an anti-dumping final ruling on Chinese ceramic tableware and other household or sanitary porcelain. The lowest price limit was adopted. The minimum price of the products involved in China (the customs code of the products involved was 69110110, 69110090, 69119000 and 69120000). The offshore export price is 4.65 US dollars / kg, valid for 5 years, the measure just expired in September this year. The anti-dumping duty of $3.71/kg was decided this year to be lower than the $4.65/kg in 2009.

In the first half of the year, China’s export industry began to decline due to the weak global economy. As a traditional industry, Taowei enterprises have to be wary of the rise of trade protectionism. The Chaozhou Inspection and Quarantine Bureau reminded Chaozhou Taowei Enterprises last month of the latest developments in the Turkish ceramic safeguards case. In the global economic downturn, anti-dumping investigations may occur from time to time, and Taowei enterprises need to prepare for trade protectionism in advance.
